L-R:  David Widawsky – U.S. EPA, Mike Wisecarver – BOOYAH® CLEAN,     Mark Hartman – U.S. EPA BOOYAH® CLEAN was presented with the Partner of the Year award in the FORMULATOR-PRODUCT MANUFACTURER category at the 2018 EPA Safer Choice Partner of the Year awards ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  This is the second EPA award for BOOYAH® CLEAN.  In 2017, BOOYAH CLEAN won a 1st place EPA Gulf Guardian Award for Business and Industry.  Both awards show the huge commitment BOOYAH® CLEAN has put into protecting the environment.

Gulfport, MS – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Gulf of Mexico Program recently announced Booyah Clean, LLC., won the 2017 Gulf Guardian Award in the Business & Industry Category.

Ben Scaggs, Director of Gulf of Mexico Program said, “Whether for individual recreational use or as an economic engine supporting a wide variety of jobs and industry, the Gulf of Mexico is a vibrant yet vulnerable ecosystem. Protecting this national resource requires innovative approaches and proactive measures. The Gulf Guardian award winners are paving the way for ‘out of the box’ thinking and replicable practices.”  

The US EPA’s Gulf of Mexico Awards recognize the efforts towards achieving and preserving healthy and resilient coasts of the 5 Gulf States (Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas as well as the Gulf Coast of Mexico. Awards are chosen from amongst nominees within the 31 states that comprise the Gulf of Mexico Water Shed and Bi-national efforts as a way to recognize and honor the businesses, community groups, individuals and agencies that are taking positive steps to keep the Gulf healthy, beautiful and productive. This award exemplifies what the program is all about; innovative solutions from creative ways to positively impact our quality of life and economic wellbeing.

For decades toxins have found their way into nearly every waterway and water source. Some via leaching from industrial facilities, some via flood waters that carried contaminates, as well as pesticides and poisons from farming and pest controls.  There are many ways we have unintentionally been poisoning our waters.  The results have devastating effects on the aquatic life and environments as well as humans and animals. The fish get contaminated from the toxins in the waters causing the consumers to ingest them from eating the contaminated fish.
