He was inducted into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame, the Professional Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, IGFA Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, and the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame.  In 2016, he celebrated his 50th year of fishing national tournaments.
