The US EPA’s Gulf of Mexico Awards recognize the efforts towards achieving and preserving healthy and resilient coasts of the 5 Gulf States (Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas as well as the Gulf Coast of Mexico. Awards are chosen from amongst nominees within the 31 states that comprise the Gulf of Mexico Water Shed and Bi-national efforts as a way to recognize and honor the businesses, community groups, individuals and agencies that are taking positive steps to keep the Gulf healthy, beautiful and productive.
